Senior’s Section of Mullion GC

A warm welcome to the Senior's Section of Mullion GC we hope you will join us for one or two of our matches and fixtures this year. Any male member over 60 years of age is automatically a member of this friendly, active Section.

What’s going on?

We meet for informal rollups a number of times through the week. On a Monday the friendly 'Monday Club' meet at 10.00 organised by Phil Dickson. We also meet most Thursdays for either a Seniors competition or a friendly roll up Stableford. Other groups meet Wednesday's (in the Clubhouse at 11.00) and Saturday (meet at 10.00 on the 1st Tee), you will be made most welcome to join any of these groups.

All standard of golfers are welcome to play in the home and away matches against local clubs. There are 18 matches played from late February to October. Cost for away matches is £13 with a meal which is great value. We are delighted these matches were well supported in 2016 and hope 2017 is also successful. See the Senior's Notice Board for details.

We hold 18 cup competitions normally played on a Thursday, but we sometimes use other days to cater for the wider audience. Open Senior Competitions are played in May and June, these attract golfers from across the County and theseprovide our main funding. Mullion remains one of the most popular courses in Cornwall and hope you will support these events.

This years Seniors Fun Away Weekend is returning to Bowood Golf Club after a great visit last year. The list is now on the Seniors Notice board.

The Men's Club Competitions are normally played on a Sunday morning with Monthly Medal and Stableford competitions played on a Wednesday from April through to October. (No 4-balls to be played between 1000 and 1330 on these Wednesday competition days as this is popular for both social and competition golf). The Club has recently introduced a weekly Stableford competition on a Friday. For Wednesday and Friday competitions arrange your own playing partners and register in the Pro Shop anytime. Sunday competitions are drawn start times, see the Main notice board, the draw is made on a Friday for the coming Sunday. Please be aware of slow play and we ask you to follow the guidance on the Rules of Golf.

Various Social events are also planned throughout the year, see the website or Seniors Noticeboard for details or contact one of the Senior's Committee.

We offer you a cordial invitation to join in and support your Senior's Section,
